During lockdown 700 volunteers drafted over 7,000 Slow Ways routes that connect all of Great Britain’s towns and cities as well as thousands of villages.

During lockdown 700 volunteers drafted over 7,000 Slow Ways routes that connect all of Great Britain’s towns and cities as well as thousands of villages. 

Walks of about 5 miles are held on alternate Wednesdays throughout the year, meeting in the Wood Street Car Park at 9.30am and sharing transport to reach the start point. Summer Strollers enjoy 3 – 5 mile walks on Thursday evenings from May to mid-August. These leave Wood Street at 7.00pm and return to the same point so no transport is required.
